I want to thank you again for taking us on such a great tour. Both Marion and I agree that the day in Sevastopol
was one of the best days of the trip. I was concerned that she'd get bored with all the military history
but I think she was as engrossed as I was. I only wish I had had more time in Sevastopol...
Our day in Sevastopol and Balaklava at the battlefields and redouts was so incredible!
You certainly exceeded all of our expectations! You know that we booked this cruise specifically because of Sevastopol
(this cruise only goes once/year).

Firstly again me and my parents would like to give you our deepest appreciation and
thanks for everything you did for us. We all found the Crimea a fascinating and wonderful
place. I have been living in Ukraine for some time and so many people have been telling
me wonderful things about the place and that I absolutely must go and visit there. So
finally having experienced it for myself, I know can indeed say that it is a wonderful
place, with everything really a holiday maker would want. We were thankful to be blessed
with great scenary, interesting places and attractions and good places to enjoy our
leisure time. For us it was all capped by your wonderful, informative history of the
region that gave us all many interesting things to learn and think about.

The Crimea is the absolute high light of our entire trip through Russia,

The pictures from the tour of the submarine base in Sevastopol are

... I had the pleasure of meeting Eugene Glibin in august of 2003.
I was stranded
at the train station in Sevastopol and I made a call to Eugene. Within
20 minutes
I was met at the station and escorted to a very nice flat in the center.
I then
went with Eugene to Balaklava, Foros and Yalta. He is a very fine guide
and
interpreter. His knowledge of Crimea is excellent. While I was with Eugene,
he
received a call from some travelers who could not find accommodations
as it was
high season. He was able to fine a flat for them on short notice. I intend
of going
back to Crimea and will use his services again. I recommend Eugene and
ApartmentsInCrimea to anyone visiting.

... I contacted Eugene Glibin via his company’s website, which was
the most
well-organised one I could find in English. I was travelling with
another historian – both of us researching books that included chapters
on the Crimean war – and as we do not speak Ukrainian we needed help
with a range of matters: accommodation, transport, guides, and access
to some unusual places.
I was enormously lucky to find Eugene, who from my very first tentative
email did everything in his power to help us. He was very enthusiastic
about our projects, and even before we arrived had ironed out many of
our problems – from resolving a visa glitch, to booking us a passage on
an obscure cargo boat from Istanbul, to tracking down a whole series of
long-forgotten monuments.
He found us an ideal apartment, and acted as a guide, driver,
researcher, interpreter and friend throughout our stay. Nothing was too
much trouble for him; from finding new flashcards for a digital camera,
to patiently translating interviews with curators and academics. Each
morning he would arrive at our apartment having studied the maps and
done some extra research of his own, and consequently his knowledge of
the Crimean war, and the hidden sites of the conflict, is now extremely
impressive!
I really cannot over-emphasise how much Eugene’s knowledge,
professionalism, dedication, stamina and good humour transformed our
trip and our work. He’ll be receiving an acknowledgement in both of our
books in due course, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend his services
warmly to anyone in need of them.

Crimea was the best part of our trip in Ukraine thanks to your excursions.
You let us visit some place such as the forgotten military base or the entrance
the Tatar people used to conquer the inaccessible fortress we wouldn't have visit
without you because they were not on the Lonley Planet Guide
